Peony in the SkyWhen creating this collage, I didn't have a particular message in mind. I pulled some of the pictures from my camera roll that I liked and thought had potential, and slapped them into Photopea, then toyed around with them for a little while. There was no great intention in my creation, I was just playing around with what I had chosen, and liked the result. Of course, each of the images had their own significance, particularly my selfie and the positioning of the peony, but none of them were wildly important. Most of them were just different pictures of the sky that I had taken at various times throughout the year. Some were taken on the drive to school, some were taken from my front yard, and some were taken while I was walking. We were told that we needed to take one of our pictures and crop it down to an item or a specific portion of the image, so I cropped down the picture of the peony and tried to figure out where to put it. Now, one must understand that I'm a bit of an artist and writer, so I have a particular OC who I like and use a lot. Her name is Zyx, and she is an undead. The left side of her face has been rotted away, so I decided to emulate something similar by placing the peony over the left side of my face and making it stand out just a little more in the sea of different pictures fighting for attention by making its layer a color dodge layer. With the other pictures, I just layered them over each other in the order that I had selected them, and modified what kind of layer they were based on what I thought looked interesting and blended well together.

That's the SpotThis is the second selfie that I've taken for this class, and I must admit, I seem to have improved my technique a bit. I particularly went after this photo because it uses the rule of thirds rather well. It also helps to convey who I am without the complexity of all the different photos from earlier in the year. It is also a very gorgeous photo of my dear Tabasco, so why would it not be a good photo??? I particularly like that the wisp of cloud looks like smoke coming from my eye, it's quite a nice little detail that hints at my immense powers at my D&D table. The quote is also wonderful. The thought of a mimic door would totally terrify my players, so having it be part of this photo further adds to the fact that I'm a D&D player, and a DM at that. Overall, I just like this one more.
